Dare to Prepare IconGlad You Asked

Q. What is AAA's Dare to Prepare workshop?

A. AAA's Dare to Prepare is an informative 90-minute workshop for parents and teens that targets issues they'll face as the teen graduates from being a passenger to being a driver. The workshop is intended to be a pre-permit program that reaches families before driver's education, but that's not always easy to do. Therefore, instructors may adapt the content into a "first night" or driver's education presentation for parents and teens. The workshop focuses on topic and messages that will enhance any driver's education course, such as:

  • Opening the lines of communication between the parent and teen
  • Driving as a privilege
  • Graduated driver licensing laws
  • Reasons why teens crash
  • Importance of a AAA parent-teen driving agreement and more!

For more information on AAA's Dare to Prepare, contact your local AAA club, or contact John White, AAA Project Manager, (407) 444-7131.
