AAA Approved Criteria for Attractions
Attractions selected for AAA evaluation must meet the
following requirements to be AAA Approved: |
| | | Be fully operational, demonstrate professional management
(organization, method of presentation, and appearance and training of
staff must be appropriate to the operation) and be capable of handling
the volume of visitors a TourBook listing might generate. |
| | | Hold no discriminatory policies and be open to the public
at large, not just to groups. |
| | | Meet general safety considerations, be in a safe location,
and have all equipment in good operating condition as certified by industry
standards. |
| | | Be easily accessible with parking available on the premises
or nearby; restrooms, where provided, must be adequate and clean. |
| | | Be constantly and consistently well maintained and clean,
inside and out. |
| | | Have an authentic historical relationship, if one is
claimed. |

AAA GEM Designation - While
AAA does not rate AAA Approved attractions, the tourism editors
that perform the evaluations may recommend a GEM designation
for attractions of exceptional interest that greatly exceed
requirements. A GEM attraction offers a Great Experience
for Members®. |
