ANSWERS to Frequently Asked Questions

How can my property be AAA Approved and Rated?
Check that your property meets the minimum Approval Requirements for your category, and submit an evaluation application and required photos. If selected, your property will be evaluated during an unannounced visit by a AAA tourism editor. Properties that pass evaluation are designated as AAA Approved. Approved lodgings and restaurants are assigned a AAA Diamond Rating; Approved campgrounds are assigned a Rating Level.

Back to FAQs

What does it cost to become AAA Approved?
The only cost associated with becoming AAA Approved is an application processing fee for lodgings. First-time applicants and repeat applicants selected for evaluation are billed $150 or $300, respectively. Payment of the nonrefundable fee has no bearing on evaluation outcome. Properties that maintain AAA Approved standing are reevaluated annually with no additional fees.
